SPALDING – ALWAYS BUILDING

Spalding is an American sports manufacturer that has been making basketballs since James Naismith asked them make the first one in 1894. They were also the official ball supplier of the NBA for 37 years. But they aren’t anymore. Spalding needed a new global brand platform that demonstrated their commitment to athletes and their understanding of the game, so they turned to their content and media partners, the OG’s of basketball culture, SLAM magazine. Designer Giuliano Garonizi and I worked with SLAM to write/create the new platform ‘Always Building.’

It’s about promoting balls and hoops, but it is a mentality. And a credible space to execute on courts and in communities around the globe.  No matter where you are on the journey- as a player, a team or as a coach, there is always building to be done.
