This was the last story we did in the Google Stories campaign which told stories of ordinary people doing extraordinary things with Google products in the UK, France and Germany. Julie De Muer believed that walking was the true way for herself and others to get to know the city of Marseilles. With Google Maps as a starting point, she created a series of ‘sound walks’ for people to reconsider their own city in a new way.
We took on one of the soundwalks she collaborated on and created NightWalk, the first night time Google Street View experience. Time and money limitations meant we couldn’t use the Google Street View capture technology, so with the help of Wesley and the Media Monks we shot 240 individual, 360 degree photospheres and strung them all together for the project you see in this case film below.
