Huawei surpassed Apple to become the world’s second largest smartphone maker. We began flirting with them in 2017, talking about being on their roster of agencies, but the first assignment was to try to land a Christmas film. The brief was around photography, as the camera is the driving force in most people’s smartphone purchase. This spot was a thank you to all the people out there who help make Christmas possible.
I ended up flying out to Shenzhen in Guangdong Province, China, to visit the fine people of Huawei. The new business effort did not come our way, but I was super happy with the way this film turned out.
