Turkcell

Merak etmiyor musun? (Aren’t you curious?)  I wrote the campaign line for the launch of 3G service for Turkey’s largest telecom. Rather than following conventional, Turkish, new product launch wisdom which is driven by product demos and overly technical explanation,  we came with something more emotional. The campaign spoke to the early adopters, the curious people who would get the most out of 3G service.

This is Cell-O. Half snail, half rabbit, with two antennae, the little yellow guy called has been Turkcell’s mascot for the past 20 years. We created this: 15 teaser campaign to kick off this campaign with the first animation ever using Cell-O. Curiously we see different Cell-O with a 3rd antennae growing out of their head.

About 6 months later we got another brief from Turkcell. It was to advertise their wi-fi dongle. Their idea was to make the dongles into little characters so young people would like them. We made this bananas spot. It was very popular.
